Other court proceedings
To enable an estate to bring or defend proceedings or to continue proceedings instigated by or against the deceased, the Official Solicitor will extract either a limited grant (see paragraph 25.163 of Tristram and Coote's Probate Practice, 28th Edition) or, in some circumstances a full grant to ensure that the plaintiff is able to continue the proceedings to a conclusion, or a defendant to defend them.
