Estates and trusts
Under current legislation, certain work must be dealt with by the Public Trustee, and other work must be dealt with by the Official Solicitor. There is certain work which the Public Trustee cannot deal with which will be referred to the Official Solicitor. Please see the Introductory Notes on this subject, which must always be considered first.
All invitations for either part of the office to become involved in the administration of an estate or trust should please be addressed to Trusts and Estates General Enquiries.
The Official Solicitor is also responsible for the management of certain Child Trust Funds.
